9/11

Hardly any other event in history has been the subject of as many conspiracy theories as the terrorist attacks of September 11, 2001. They vary greatly, but what they have in common is that the official version is deeply distrusted. Some claim that the attacks were an Inside Job, staged by the USA itself in order to create a pretext for the war on terrorism. The controversial historian Daniele Ganser, for example, believes that it is at least conceivable that the World Trade Center was not brought down by the impact of the planes, but by controlled demolitions. In addition, there are countless other theo- ries, for example that the Pentagon was also not hit by an airplane but by a missile. Although most of the theories have been refuted, there are still unanswered questions – even after the final report.
