Pagans and Witches

Neopagans are contemporary individuals who follow pre-Christian religions, such as Wicca (witch religion), Asatru, and Druidism. Some conspiracy theorists allege that satanic ritual abuse is part of their practices, often involving human sacrifice. Additionally, they claim that neopagans engage in sorcery and other occult activities with the aim of achieving world domination. These assertions frequently originate from the Christian fundamentalist perspec- tive, which views pagan practices as malevolent and a dangerous threat to society. Until the 18th century, these ideas led to the persecution and execution of witches. In reality, however, these are peaceful groups whose spiritual practices are unrelated to criminal activities or plans for world domination.
